Frank Gehry Education and Early Works

Education
In 1947 Frank Gehry moved to California, had a job as a delivery man, went to the Los Angeles City College, then he was a graduate form the University of Southern California’s School of Architecture. After Frank graduated from the University of Southern California in 1954, he studied City Planning at the Harvard Graduate School of Design for 1 year, leaving before he completing the program. Frank Gehry now is a Professor of Architecture at Columbia University in New York City and he also teaches at Yale University.

Early Works
In Frank Gehry’s early career, he use to design furniture. He designed a series of furniture called Easy Edges. They have unique designs and are not made out of wood, they are made out of cardboard. After he designed furniture he started designing houses, he even designed his own house. The Gehry Residence which Frank considers it to be one of best works. Another Chiat/Day Building which seems to be giant pair of Binoculars. The Museum Building is the first Building Frank Gehry designed for Europe. Frank Gehry designed a lot of museums. The Museum Building, The Fredrick Weisman Museum of Art, California Aerospace Museum, Vitra Design Museum and more.
